𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞’𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰
Dewakan means “food from God,” and the chef gives thanks to God with a dining experience that is truly Malaysian in every sense. Every ingredient is sustainably and locally sourced; even the dinnerware is handmade by local artists. There is only one prix fixe tasting menu. Dishes feature many items that are fermented or dry-aged in-house, alongside seasonal fruits and herbs. The shrimp head chocolate petit fours are one of their signatures.

Dewakan's specially curated GastroMonth menu is inspired by the French master of cuisine that made the prestige of the MICHELIN Guide. We have selected iconic dishes that have inspired countless others because of their innovation of the time and their timelessness. These hallmark dishes were virtually inaccessible unless you made the trip to these temples of gastronomy, but today they have become important footnotes in the lexicon of cooking.
𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐮 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬
・This menu is a specially-curated menu hosted by Chef Darren in the private kitchen of Dewakan fondly known as the Test Kitchen. This menu is only available during GastroMonth Kuala Lumpur and Penang 2023.
・Due to the Chef's menu, we would be unable to adjust the menu to dietary restrictions and allergies. Guest with non-life threatening allergies are recommended to bring along their prescribed medication as a precaution.
・This menu is exclusively available for bookings via FunNow.
・A minimum advance booking of 1 week is required.
・The Test Kitchen seats between 6-8 guest each session. Please note that guests are strongly encouraged to be punctual as all guests will be dining at the same time.

GastroMonth Kuala Lumpur and Penang 2023 is the first of its kind in Malaysia. The month-long event in June 2023 allows discerning diners to enjoy specially curated menus at over 40 restaurants recommended in the MICHELIN Guide Kuala Lumpur and Penang 2023.
