店舗紹介
Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Koay (MTP) was founded in 1933 by its namesake, Moh Teng Pheow, who made and supplied the kuehs to those Indian vendors who rode on motorcycles or moved about on foot carrying ‘kandar’ (bamboo pole slung across the shoulder on which were balanced two bamboo baskets or sianna lined with banana leafs) of Kuehs around Georgetown selling kuehs.
In 1970s, the business was passed down to his second son, Mook Hian Beng who later manage to turn the business into canteen together with his children in 2015.
As today, their 3rd generation objective is to maintain their grandpa legacy and to reintroduce the Kueh making culture to today’s youth.
